Here at DBX, we are trying a prototype system to make techniques fair. This is called the TP System. TP stands for Technique Points, which is used to determine how many techniques one character can have. Obviously, the higher TP one has, the more techniques they can use. The stronger a technique is, the more TP it costs. Thus, strong characters can have strong techniques, and weak characters will have the weaker techniques.
Now, all characters, no matter what race, have a starting TP of 10, which can be used to learn techniques like Destructo Disc, which is 10 TP exactly. Now, one might say, "I can only have Destructo Disc? That's not fair!" Well, to make this better, I have developed a formula to figure out a characters TP from their Power Level:
Total TP = (PL/100) + 10
So, for those who are algebraically challenged, to find your total TP, divide your PL by 100 and add ten to the answer. So, for example, if your Human had a PL of 500, then the formula would be: (500/100) + 10 = 15 So, the character in question has a TP of 15. I know this seems like a little, but when you train to raise your PL, the TP increases fast.
For those with lower PLs: Don't worry- with some training, you can use techniques just like anyone else!
So, PM the admin or staff with any questions pertaining to TP, or PL for that matter. Have fun!
