This site has quite a few rules, but hopefully none of them are too complicated to understand.
The first thing you must understand is the warning system here at DBX. Infringement of any of these rules will get you one warning. Three warnings gets you a week ban. Continuing to break the rules will get you a permanent ban. But the staff is pretty lenient, so warnings are usually well-deserved.
1. No Spamming: This includes posting irrelevant things in a thread, posting things already stated, or posting where you don't belong. Just don't do it.
2. No Discrimination: This includes racism, ageism, sexism, and all the other -ism's. When it comes to this, keep your opinions to yourself.
3. No 18+/Illegal Images or Links: This means no images or links to websites that could get someone grounded from the computer. That's the last thing we need. Also, it would be in violation of the Terms of Use of Proboards, so the whole forum could be deleted, so no holding back on this one.
4. No Member Bashing/Flaming: This means taking a personal grudge to the site, or being blatantly rude due to some ungodly circumstance. Wipe your soul off at the door, please. If you have a problem, PM the admin.
5. No Staff Bashing: This is hating on a staff member just because they're staff. Again, PM the admin if you have a problem.
6. No Mini-Modding: This is pestering a member because they broke a rule. If it bothers you that much, PM a mod about it.
7. Swearing/Violence: Some arguements are going to get heated, so minor swearing is all right, IC- only words they'd say on *public* television. As far as violence- well, this is based on the Dragon Ball series, so there will be quite a bit of it. Keep it relatively non-graphic, though.
8. No God-moders/Power Players: This means taking control of someone's character, such as saying that your attack (or someone else's, for that matter) hit the opponent. Avoiding every attack is included here, too.
9. Character Death: One's character may only be killed if the owner of that character and an admin/mod agrees to it. PM the admin/mod ahead of time, too.
10. Mod Ruling is Final: This means that if a mod says that your character is injured or dies, it is final. However, if you feel it is unfair, you can PM the admin to review the situation.
11. No Double Posting: This is posting twice in a row without someone replying between your posts. You can modify your posts!!
12. Minimum Post Length: Roleplay posts must be at least a good paragraph long. All we ask is five reasonable sentences to give others something to work off of.
13. Literacy/Grammar: This is a fairly literate site, so please, complete words and sentences, and correct punctuation. This means NO CHATSPEAK, in character at least. If you must, do it out of character.
14. Advertise/Affiliate in the Proper Board!: Please, don't advertise in any posts other than in the specifically marked board. This prevents spam and clutter.
15. Promotions: When you prove yourself to be a contributing, active member, you may be upgraded to Veteran status. Along with the change in member group, you will receive an item or technique of your choice (it has to be approved by staff members). This will also make you eligible for open staff positions.
16. Activity: We expect you to log on once bi-monthly (every two months). If you are found to be inactive for an extended period of time, your account may be deleted. Members are also subject to random two week long activity checks, within which you are expected to post before the deadline. Failing to post will get your account deleted, if you did not post in the away board prior to the check.
17. Character Limit: There is currently no limit to the number of characters you may have, but if the staff sees too many inactive characters, one may be placed.
Lastly, have fun and don't be afraid to ask questions!
